Our Mission

The Bristol Poker League is a pub-based tournament league built around one simple idea:

Make live poker accessible, competitive, and fun — without charging players to enter.

We've been running structured Texas Hold'em tournaments across Bristol and the surrounding area since 2006. Each event is professionally organised and played to clear tournament rules. Our league system rewards both performance and consistency.

The Points System

Every tournament awards league points based on two things: how many players entered and your finishing position. The winner gets the most; points then step down through the standings. Even the first player out earns points, so participation and consistency both count.

Seasons & Finals

The league operates in two-month cycles. At each venue, a Pub Champion is crowned and awarded a trophy engraved with their name. Pub Champions automatically qualify for the Grand Final, and their buy-ins are covered.

Top performers from each venue also qualify for the Grand Final, where the top eight players receive cash prizes.

Our Collaboration with Live Pub Poker League (LPPL)

Your Bristol Poker League results don’t just count locally, they’re also uploaded to Live Pub Poker League, giving you an additional chance to qualify for their prestigious Southern Regional Finals.

By competing in our league, you could also secure a seat at the Live Pub Poker League Southern Regional Finals and play for incredible prizes, including a 5-star Las Vegas package.
